Did you know that some of the fab fashions and accessories that you can buy here at Bootyland are also designed and made by us? It’s true! We’ve been dabbling in making our own line of clothing for years. We just can’t help getting inspired by the creativity and style emerging in the kids fashion industry or by the unique flair displayed by our customers. Seattle kids have a gift for dressing expressively, and we love it.
Some of our creations have emerged as customer favorites, and we’ve incorporated their feedback into our designs as well. We’ve produced and sold small runs of cashmere baby booties (upcycled!), hemp shorts & pants, vintage-fabric skirts & dresses as well as baby slings, blankets and burp cloths. We’ve also enjoyed the privilege of partnering with amazing artists to create tee-shirt graphics and new designes for jackets and pants.
We are excited to continue to grow these projects into a cohesive clothing line for babies and kids! We have our eyes set for a late-May launch. Our line will be made from organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, or upcycled fibers. (We can’t resist upcycled cashmere and those cute vintage fabrics.) We hope to incorporate some of our favorite print fabrics soon too. Until then, we have some adorable baby basics in prints and solids.
